OK, Anyone received one of the updated steel feathering shafts yet? I've seen some that had the ball in the center and some that didn't. Which is the newer version?? Also if someone has an extra feathering shaft laying around could you get me a measurement of it end to end and a measurement of the width of the head outside edge to outside edge where the dampers go in?? I worked on the head all night without any avail except screwing up a set of dampers I've checked all the grips and bearing and all the bearings are seated. I've measured the grips and all are identical. All I can think of is the head block is bad or the feathering shaft is to short. Any way if anyone can get me some measurement's I'd be very grateful

First was aluminum with a ball.

Second hardened with ball.

Latest and greatest hardened without a ball.

I dont have a batt in caliper so they both come at a minute fraction short of 88mm. (87.xx?)

Ok...found battery...they are both 87.20...closer to 87 than 88

See for yourself.

Below some weight comparison while I'm killing some time waiting for charger to hit the park...

^ Alum (by the way...I have yet to bend one of these in a crash)

^ Metal

And now the main shaft...guess which one is hollow?

Also measured both plastic and CNC head just in case...same size at its widest part.

EDITED:

FWIW...The steel spindle does have one hole deeper than the other.
Photos to follow.

I only have one spare on hand so cant compare to others for same.

I do have about 7 of the aluminum ones...they all have same hole debt on both sides...so its consistent.

I know...it's not a heli but just sharing my latest "brushless" project.
