C = Current or Capacity, If a 1000mah battery can do 20C it can do 1000mah (1ah) x 20 = 20amp.

Unfortunally C Rating is often "upped" by the selling company since C rating sell.

Even if you dont need a certain C for your application, its always (in our heli world) better to have the best batteries because they can hold higher voltage under load, which will result in less bogging.

Burst is the rating where the battery can withstand for a short time, but if you do it for long you will damage the pack.

Your good pack will hold a higher voltage under load then your bad pack, My really good packs holding > 3.5v when I hit peaks to their their rated C.

My bad packs drop to 3.2v in the same type of load.
Really bad packs hit 3.0v and often your ESC will then cut out.

ok thanks, one more question. How do you use your burst? I don't understand with you throttle set you fly at 100% most of the time.

Burst is a term more for airplanes

However, in your heli flying the load will change, so even if your throttle is 100% the actual load will change (peaks)

Technically, as close as you're gonna get to a "burst" in a heli is at each end of a tic toc. One more thing about you're aforementioned "C". The term is also used to specify charging guidelines. Never charge Lipo at more than 1C or 1 times it's capacity. Eg, an 1800mah battery should NEVER be charged at more than 1.8 amps.

with 2 ears and 1 mouth you should listen twice as much as you talk
