Oh Yeah… I found a new problem with this tail design… There is another weak point in the pitch lever mount. The flat head screw (2x6mm) used to mount the Pitch Lever Holder bracket seems to be a weak point in the design. The head snapped off of mine while it was on the ground (lucky) I know for a fact that this screw was not over tighten

If you put a dab of JB Weld between lever mount face and tail case, this will not be an issue. Be sure to ruff up the mating surfaces. There is a lot of tork at that interface.

Update!!

After I put Green Loctite between the tail slider ball and the two bearings they still came apart during flight

Everything was cleaned before the green loctite was added and was let to cure for over 48 hours.

Should the slider ball have a lip on the inside or not? Mine doesn't.

I have no confidence in the tail at all.

I found the issue with pitch slider. I went to hobby shop and looked at some replacement brass sleeves. The threaded portion on the replacement sleeves were longer and allowed it to tightened more. Problem solved. I tried to take picture that illustrated the difference.

I bought my Beam at Toledo show ,as did my flying buddy Dan.
He got around to finishing up his this week . On the 4th flight the slider came apart....but he did a nice little piro auto and only bent a spindle,go Dan!lol

Funny thing is my kit was from the same lot but I have 125+flights and several crashes on it but my slider hasent come apart yet

The tail slider assembly in my kit came completly assembled.

I wonder if the ones that failed were factory assembled or not.

The ring on mine looks like there is possibly a location on top that could be for a ball(the ball is of course opposite this) that has been ground down. I wonder if it is some kind of locking pin??

Cant the guys on "Team Beam" find out something. It isnt too confidence inspiring when you are a newbie like I am, cranking fast piros and remembering that the damn tail slider is coming apart.

I am loving my Beam. It is so smooth and precise. These small helis get so small, so fast to my aging eyes that I had to get some color on my white canopy...
