titanium is light and strong, a lot stronger than aluminium.i should have my stratus tail box on this week also, will be good to compare.

tail box

yeah, but if it works and i can set up my cnc machine for mass production ,it would be worth it dnt u think, beats totaling your heli for a 50 dollar part.

I would certainly take one! as there has been a few tail boxes around here of late breaking in flight.

if you have your own cnc ,id copy the stratus box its a better stronger design, rather than copy the vibe or do both.

I'd sure be interested, i'm going through them at a rate of one ever 10 or so flights now. They crack at the weakest point. Fed up having to run low tail speeds to prevent this. And epoxying in the bearings only lengthens the agony for a short time.

Quick UK have one in the design stage also, but business demands have left it in the pending tray unfortunately.

Quotes may have been changed for my own amusement

well the adapters cost me $100 each from a engineering mate, the stratus tail boxes are $150 each, thats from the australian distributor,im also using the stratus pitch slider, the vibe rotor shaft and blade holders are used.so about $275 per heli.
not real cheap but i believe the problem is fixed.ill let you know how they go.

ps i also think this is a far stronger set up than having a one piece box, even if you made a vibe box out of titanium it wouldnt be as strong as this 2 piece set up,it would however be cheaper and you would keep all the jr parts,i guess you have to make one and see if it lasted, this was just the easiest way for me to over come this problem.
btw the open tail box also bolts onto this adapter same stud pattern.

If money was our main focus nobody would fly a vibe 90, LOL. Not that i have alot of it...... If it solves the problem, money will be saved in the long run. Now of course a one piece box that used all JR parts would be cheaper and less of a pain to get parts for. I hate when i have to order from multiple sites.

ma boxes are on,i just have to change the end of the drive shaft and its all good to go.i ended up machining the lip out of the boom clamp so it can slide up the boom now,i have drilled two 3mm holes in the boom ,one on each side and bolted the adapter and tail box through the boom with two 3mm hex bolts, then i tighten the clamp, there is no way this tail box can turn or slip out of the boom now.i had to use MA rotor hub assemblies the vibe linkages just wouldnt work on the ma set up.had 2 wait 4 weeks for parts ,and i thought jr were bad.im also putting a ma dog bone on the jr drive shaft [tail box end]so it will now be a double ended dog bone set up,this is how ma do it and i think it will help eliminate any unwanted shaft vibrations, any way here are some pics
