Century Hawk - Falcon - Raven - Predator > rotor head issue

hey everyone I have a question. I have a hawk pro and bought the all metal rotor head from century. The one I bought is prebuilt, but i went through and made sure everything was tight. The problem I am having is the link that runs to the little ball on the swashplate and up to the blade grip is rubbing preaty bad against the seesaw. Now both sides are doing this and I am not sure if it should be. I would imagine that it shouldn't be because binding on the rotor head doesn't seem wise. So if anyone knows how to fix this i would greatly appreciate it if you could tell me so i can fix this problem

Thanks

hey thanks for reply but yea i got the links right I even double checked the manual. it's just weird how they make the links connect to the blade grips on the all metal rotor head, Just seems like the left a part out when the built it, space, because i cant believe they would design something like that and have it rub all up on it like that. Does anyone else have the all metal rotor head on their hawk? if you do can you please post a pic and also confirm if your having the same issue. Thanks

I think that's your problem...the link from the mixer to the swash should go on the longer ball on the swash. And yes, the book is wrong.

Flip the mixer arms over, and the issue will disapear. I had the same issue and fixed it by flipping over the mixer arms, putting a 3mm shim washer behind the arms when I made the change. I have PLENTY of clearance and absolutely no binding whatsover in the head assembly now!

A friend of mine bought a complete CNC head for his Raven awhile back and I remembered he had a similar situation. To make a long story short, we found out that he was missing the 3mm spacer that connect to the bell mixer arms. We fabricated a couple and that did the trick.

SteveH, or anyone; what is the shorter ball link used for?

They are used to connect the mixer arms to the blade grips.
