| Hey guys, I put my N9 in this morning. I took off, did a quick piro, then went right into a right roll (stationary flip to the right side), about half way through the roll the tail started pirouetting hard to one right. I thought I lost the tail drive, but after inspection everything is fine - no missing teeth, gear mesh is fine, everything is fine. Gyro?
I was able to cut the engine and land it where the only thing I damaged was the skids and the boom and one of the tail blades, very lucky considering.
But I can't figure out what went wrong!??! It has about 15 flights on it. I'm a seasoned heli pilot so I know what to look for but I hate these unknowns.
It wasn't a lockout, I had full collective control.
Any suggestions are appreciated. I hope it's not an intermittent gyro, that would really suck.
