This may have been addressed elsewhere and if so I'm sorry.

How much more difficult are flybarless heads to fly? What is the difference (besides not having a flybar ) in the feel of them? Do you have to use a special gyro? I'm looking at doing a Vario BIG Airwolf and want a flybarless head, but not if it's going to be a big pain.

Also, which Benzin should I get for this project, the CS or the Regular?

Any help is apreciated as always guys........

Flybarless two blade heads have been around for a long time. Depending on the blade weight they hover OK (can be a little twitchy) but in FFF they are quite different in that a pronounced pitch up is produced. The best answer is that they fly "differently" but nothing that can't be learned. The new scalers with multi blade heads have produced a market for multi axis gyros and these assist in "scale like" flying.

I use to fly a GMP Legend with a flybarless head back in the late 80's early 90's. When compared to the Schluter Champions that I also flew which were the standard flybar style, the Legend was a true hot rod. Very responsive with and agressive pitch-up mentallity. But, like Doug said, it can be learned. If I can learn it so can you. Trust me!

Legend Head

The legend flybarless rotor head was controllable and flyable but had some unusual characteristics. If you were in FFF and pulled the collective out rapidly, the model did the prettiest forward flip you ever saw without ANY cyclic inputs at all. The first time it happened, I almost crashed but found out it was predictable and it looked really cool.
