This actually happened in Atlanta . The criminal was running from Atlanta Police Department Narcotics
officers and he attempted to jump from the highway in the first picture
to the building. The rest of the pictures are the results of an overestimation
of his athletic abilities coupled with an underestimation of the height
involved. The drop from the highway to the bottom is approximately 3 stories
high. His contemplated escape route led to the Extraneous Closure of an
APD narcotics chase. Check this web page out

I have seen this before and I think it could be real. Except. the head is facing the freeway that he supposedly jumped from. It would make more sense that he either jumped off backwards. (not likely) or he was pushed off the freeway and hung on the fence.

The decapitation seems real considering the fence does show a bend in it from the weight of the man hanging on it. However. The angle is definatly all wrong.

Just my 2 cents worth from watching too much CSI..

Maybe he didn't jump but rather he was leaning against the guardrail facing the road and someone pushed him over the side? That would explain why he is in the position he is. No one would possibly do that...he jumped and thats the story they are sticking to.

What probably happened is he tried to climb down the trees and he fell, which explains the branches next to the fence. What I find puzzling is the clean cut on the neck. If the cause of the decapitation is the force of going down and the head got snagged by the fence, there is no way it can snap off the neck so cleanly from the head, that is almost all muscle and even if the muscle snapped off the esophagus will still be hanging. just something to think about.
