Got a Harness for the two packs, pack (a) goes into s1, pack (b) goes into s2, pack (a) cells 1,2,3 light up and go out but 4,5,6 on pack b stay lit, could it be the balancer balancing the cells on the highest charged pack ??

Hello benny, turns out that the balancer was balancing the packs, its ok now, bud i do have a new question, two 3s pack in series will give you 22.2 volts, but will keep the same amount of amps, i hope i remember my electronics class right,.

Question is, to charge them concurrently, i need to charge at 22.2v @ 2200mah or 4400mah ??

Your 3s pack is like 3 individual cells of 2200mah connectected in series. So adding another pack in series is same as 6 individual cells in series. It will be 6s 2200mah.

If the packs are used individually, I suggest you check the pack voltage and make sure they are within 0.1v difference or less. If they are not, but less than 0.3v or less different, use parallel adapter to equalize the packs before charging them in series.

For individually used packs, it is better to charge them in parallel due to larger voltage difference that will be self charged/discharged between the packs. But for 3s do not connect them if they are more than 0.3v different as the self charge rate will get big. You don't want it to be more than 2.2 amps.

Ok benny got it, seems the align balancer works great, just to make this clear, Im using two 3s 2200 pack with my 500 (That Id like you and justin to fly), so should I use the balancer to get them to 0.1 v difference and then charge them in series ?? I have not learned to charge in parallel, seems Ill need a little tutorial when you get here.

If the packs are used in series, they will be within 0.1v normally. Just be sure to hook them up to a voltmeter after 10min or so of cooling so the voltages stabilize before reading.
