Computer Flight Simulators > Phoenix model scaling question

I downloaded the demo of Phoenix and was watching the demo videos, it looks very cool, but the scale of the aircraft relative to the position of the background seemed really odd to me and didn't seem right. Is this just me, or is it actually an issue with certain field panoramas, etc?

It works fine for me until you get really far away with the helicopter.
The heli flies off into the distance, but it only ever appears so small, then stops shrinking as it flies off.

Keep the heli close in like you'd normally fly in real life, and its just not a problem.

"El Dooderino" if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Thanks for the input, anyone else experience the 'scaling looks wrong' feeling deep down inside?

I don't understand - the models are the correct size for the background they're in - though the autozoom does make them larger on the screen the further you fly away - maybe that's whats on your mind?

Thanks, that's possibly what I'm seeing. I'm not sure how they recorded the demo videos.

I ended up buying the Phoenix sim and can say it's pretty decent. The thing I noticed in the demos was not so much a problem in the actual version when you turn off the autozoom feature.
