It tries to start but then it says wrong type of system or something like that. It dod let me install the usb interface but thats it. Oh Well I give up

Did you just copy the whole program directory from your XP machine on the other PC? If thats what you did then you have to reinstall it on the new PC.

Looked at your other thread but need more information.
You said you "got a disk" from a buddy. Did you get the cd's and install it on your XP machine and then he took the CD's so your trying to 'move' the already installed program onto a Vista machine?

I got a disc thanks to a great guy on here and its got XTR and the updates ...ok so i installed it on a XP pc and now I find out its to big to copy the whole Reflex folder to a disc because its 811 mb . So i tried to just copy it on my vista pc..no luck there. So now what do I do. I could kick my dog or smash my keyboard ...daaaaaaaam ...anyone got a step by step way to do this? PLEASE!!!!!!! Thanks

Are you making sure the reflex folder is getting transfered to the main c:/ directory or else it wont work. I have reflex on vista and mine works fine.

There is a simple way to do this:-

Applications needed

deamon tools or Alcohol 120%.
Nero.

1) install the above applications and re-boot as instructed.

2) Copy all files off 2 cd's into 1 folder/directory.

3) Open nero create a new cd iso/data cd. (Do not use wizard mode!!!!!!).

4) on right hand pance file browser screen navigate to folder you copied files into and copy ALL files over to right hand screen.

5) Click Record - Choose Recorder - image recorder - click ok.

6) Click the write cd dialog box or burn option button.

7) Check label tab button is what ever xtr's label should be just incase it checks for this when it autorun's.

8) now click write you will then have a dialog box asking where to save the file to (choose where ever you want BUT remember where!!!).
also choose the pull down menu at bottom of dialog box from *.nrg to *.iso - choose *.iso.

9) it will then go off and create an iso image of all your files in the xtr directory.

10) once iso image is complete mount the image using daemon tools or alcohol 120% on a virtual drive.!!!

11) should now work if all instructions followed completely.

hope this helps anyone interested....:):):):):):)
