I like the looks of the swift 620se canopy. Does anyone know if it will fit the swift 16??

I have both and they use different mouning locations in the back.
the 620 is up and back quite a bit.
with a little moding though i'm sure it could be made to fit.

there is a size difference.
But with some mods i beleive they will fit.

I'm planning on doing just that for my 8s swift 16 so that i have more room for the batteries up inside of the canopy.
If you would like i could post some photo's when i do the mod.

That be great centuryman... I dont know if its just mine or not but trying to mount the canopy on my swift is hell!!!!! its like they have the holes wrong on the canopy. After you get the bottom front of the canopy mounted the holes in the back of the canopy like about 1/4" or more lining up with the canopy mounts and you have to realy work to got it mounted in the rear.

I know excacly what you mean.
technic helps. First spread the back open wide, slide it into place, then install the top grommets first.silicon spray on the grommets helps.
I've moved my lower pins up and forward about 8mm on one of my swift 16's to get extra clearance for a 8s a123 battery, and that actully makes installing the canopy easier.
You could also trim the top back of the canopy for additional ease of installation.
I can pop mine on and off in a few seconds now, easier then the canopy on my 620,by far.

Hope this helps

Tried it like you said centuryman and it worked like a charm.. It's much easyer to do the rear then the front compared to trying to do the front then the rear like I was doing.

I have both a swift 550 and a swift 620SE(for sale buy the way)
I liked the 620 canopy so much i put it on my 550. All i had to do was relocate the canopy mounting posts back further on the frame. It works perfect.

I can post pice if anyone is interested.

Tecmaster.... If you don't care to post pics please do... I'd like to fit the 620 canopy on my swift 16 and would like to see what is involved in doing it.
