I thought I read somewhere that you should not put a drain on the car like that, something to do with the computers in the cars nowadays, If that's not true it would be perfect.

Off to yard and garden !

Been doing it for as long as I can remember " not very long "

I carry a old school Byron Pit Pal : I Know the exact internal dimensions of the battery compartment, and I cram a garden tractor or motor cycle lead acid in their. Grab your tape , measure your box, and off you go.

For $20.00 you can buy one heck of a lead acid that drops right in.

It's heavey but my Dynotron and field chargers never complain, it's pretty much hid under my anderson panel. I charge with a 1 amp /12 volt motorcycle charger.

Seams during a fun fly somebodies allway's sucking off it.

I second the tractor battery, cheap, not too heavy, and works

Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would fall off.

Well i use a 12vlt auto starting box from walmart for all of my needs, from field charging batteries to putting a starter on it to crank a heli... may not be pretty but it works and ive never been without enough power for those applications. Heck even a fuel pump which doesnt use much power but i found that a high torque starter and that box would pop off my cspec 90 where a two battery starter wont... but maybe twice.

Theirs no such thing as up, it's all out...
