Stop hovering & get flying. Hovering is fine but you will NEVER get anywhere wasting time doing it, theres more to flying helis than hovering.

Seems to me that ALL heli's beat the air into submission

Put a couple hundred more "sim"s in that list and the crashes will go away. Guaranteed. Takes a lot of time, but worth every minute.

Curtise Youngblood did a 3 D training video a while back. Recomended some simple excersizes developing oreintation that can be started even at beginner level... "T hovers" he called them. start hovering nose out, move to the left and right 20 or 30 feet very slowly back and forth so you see the sides of the heli and are making transitions from left to right and back. Once you have that go hover facing left or right and start working on transitions from nose out to nose in. Slow and patient. borring. Wax on wax off sort of stuff, but it works great...

lol, personally i love tinkering and repairing this and that with my helis, if somethings not broken i try to find something to do to them. Also i enjoy the rush and the challange of flying, trying to master that one goal, achieving it and going on to the next! and most of all i love flying things...

if you dont like it then thats ok, for obvious reasons its alot of work, and is not the hobby for everyone. but dont clog up the forum ranting about it. just say your goodbyes and find a hobby you enjoy.

Good. Now you've had a break, start your sim and get practicing with the aid of your preffered beverage. You must respect that with some it comes relatively easy, and some not so, so depending on how passionate you are about helis, be patient and you WILL be rewarded.

OK, belt changed, back up and going.

I luv this hobby, but it is a lot like a woman, cost a lot of money and in the words of Rodney Carrington, sometimes "I'm just looking for a place to hide the body"

Fear is a sign of weakness, my young Jedi...do not quit! do not quit!

A bad day flying helis is better than a good day at work! :)

Do you have anyone that can buddybox with you. It helps take some of the fear out of flying the first couple times. It got me over the hump. I went from hover only, to figure 8's in about three tanks. Thanks to a good freind and a trainer cord. About 4 flights after my frist figure 8 I took the cord off and have been cord free since

hahahaha that was funny!!!!

You reminded some of my days....

Seriously I am thinking on contracting a mechanic for preventing maintenance build and repairs, two or 3 days a week.

I try to fly as much as I can and some times is crazy!!! With the work needed with the helis.
