I am building a Xtreme 50 and considering making it a Flybarless System. Does the Xtreme need a head conversion kit like the Trex or will its main grips be adequate?? Beyond that all you need is the Vbar electronics which is about 600.00 right? Only thing that sucks is that I have a GY611 that isnt going to be used if I do this, Oh well, this hobby isn't cheap!!!!

Also, I saw the SK360 system seems to be a little less expensive and would allow me to use the 611 in conjuction with the system, anyone used this yet??

I'm not 100% familiar with the headof the Extreme...but do a serach here and you'll see that some guys have already converted theirs to flybarless...converting ANY heli is a piece of cake really...

I'm sure the stock grips would work just fine...you'll just need to use some spacers for correct ball link alignment and delta needs to be zero.

the only other thing you'll need is a mikado swash driver to lock the swash in place..

the vbar electronics are about $700 but you don't need the tail gyro any more...so you can sell that off(so minus that from the cost of the vbar) ...the tail gyro of the vbar works as good if not better than the best tail gyros out there..

I currently run 5 vbar machines and LOVE them....the only problem is that when you get a vbar machine you'll want to convert all of your machines over...
