Hi all, I intend to buy the trex 600 nitro. It will be mounted in the funkey Bell 222 with retracts. I have the spektrum dx7. 401/9254 for the tail. What are most reasonable cyclic servos to use in this application with the dx7?

I have a 600E with a Bell 222 fuse and use JR 8717's flys great 2 3750 6S packs 611 gyro. I would give the 401 a little thought, maybe a 7703D would be a better selection..Set up and adjustments in the fuse would be a snap

It's a scale heli, I doubt there will be a lot of crack 3D flying.

The 401/9254 will be fine, consider Futaba S9252s for everything else. They're a great, reliable, fast and strong servo. Reasonably priced as well.

I used to have a kinetic 50. in a funkey Hughes 500. It had the 401/9254 and that worked perfect. I had the cheap 3151's on cyclic and lost the aileron servo. I was in the air for 45 seconds with no aileron servo and still got it back in one piece. The reason why? The servo quit in the neutral position. What are the chances of that? I want to have better servos this time. I will check out the 9252's Thanks fellas!

Yup, 9252's or 9452's would be the go for scale.

For a scale the GY401/S9254 will be perfect. The S9252 servos will be excellent for eCCPM. Just run everything at 5v.

I was planning to use a 4.8 1200Mah. Other wise 6 volt with a step down. I would rather the 4.8 and I will have two or three packs. Am I in the right direction? I know the servos can draw a lot of power but I'm not going to be horsing it.

4.8v battery is good as long as you don’t have a Spektrum radio. All other brands are designed for 4.8v.
