Hey Bob, nice to see you got Quarked. You will be impressed with the stability and how it flys right out of the box. I would recommend you read some of the posts below in regard to upgrading the Lipo and covering your blades for their longevity.

Cheers

hi Blik
i ordered my Quark W/O tx for $380 and figured i would use my JR TX , i picked up a GWS X-tal to match my TX this weekend , so i will be ready to go when it arrives Saturday , the guy that runs the LHS says he has seen them fly and they are great , so i am not surprized the BCX's are all hiding , i can't wait , bob

Here are the pics of the Quark vs BladeCX. It is tough to see but the BladeCX is at least 2" higher than the Quark due to the Coaxial, counter-rotating blade rotor head design.

Cheers
Blik

That's what I've been wanting to see. The CX and Quark side by side. Looks like my CX2 will be hitting the classifieds. Thanks for posting the pic's Blik.

WHOO HOO!
oh my god , what a great little heli , it is every bit as smooth as a BCX , i have a jr radio and you have to set some switches on the 4 in 1 and of course i read the diagram as white being the switch head and that aileron and elevator go into positions 2 and 3 , but it is the black part of the drawing that is the switch head and the plugs start with position 2 not 1 , so about 5 minutes of , that acts like a futaba setup???? and thats not the aileron???? before i realized that it could be read the other way , but then it was just take it out to the living room and lift off into the smoothest hover i have ever had on any heli i have ever flown , i love my new quark!!!!!!! , if anyone is riding the fence on a great little indoor flyer , by all means get a quark , bob

Hey Bob, great to hear you are having so much fun. If the price was a bit lower I think this Quark would take over all the FP heli sales no prob.

hi Blik
yes , it is what twice? what you would think , but hirobo has always been high priced and very good quality , and this little quark with the bell hiller and carbon fiber main shaft , they have not cheaped out , and i am still floored by the bell hiller , it is hands down the best flying single rotor machine i have seen for stability

and i have to laugh , when i flew it today , i take off and it goes straight up , and i am hovering and kinda see that the tail is not moving and i am not having to correct at all , so i move the rudder over to see the tail swing and then swing it back , like i am seeing if it even works

it was just that stable or locked in , this is right out of the box , and easily the best i have seen , as good or better than thier lama coaxial , looking at the design with the stabilizer/flybar at 45 degrees to the rotor and the coreless tail motor mounted inboard , you see these guys are thinking out of the box and totally killing it , the proof is in the pudding , and seeing how smooth it is shows how much work has gone into the design , bob

Christoph, nice flying. Looks like you are getting your moneys worth out of this awesome FP heli for sure. Did you change the settings on the control unit and move the ball on the flybar cage? I changed mine and it seems to have more response. Due to the weight of this Quark the wind is still the enemy

Cheers

Hi Bilk,

up to now I've nothing changed, but I'm going to change it like you described it because my Quark is from now on too "gentle" :-)

Cheers,
Christoph

hi Christoph
it is great to share info on the forum , and a treat to get to see what others are doing , i have left mine stock so far , except that i have laminated the main blades with clear packing tape , and i want to step the linkages out , a step at a time to see how the response is with the higher settings , i really like the hirobo machines , bob

Hi Bob, yepp, exciting times with the little quark :-)
At the moment I really enjoy flying with my litte friend in the garden and even the sound of this little thing is great, not that noise of an old saw when flying my CX2 :-)
Next modification step on my quark is to build floats ... so stay tuned.
Greetings,
Christop
