e-E-Sky Honey Bee- Lama- Belt CP- E-Smart > Ideas for replacing the anti-rotation pin on the CNC head

I had my swash off for regular service today and noticed the anti-rotation pin is worn about 40% threw. Its the CNC swash from Esky and the pin is metal.

I'm a bit surprised by this premature wear, as the the anti-rotation stand is still plastic. Before the CNC swash was installed AR stand was sanded smooth and lube is regularly applied. The CNC swash has been on the heli for only a couple months.

The rest of the swash is still in good shape, so I had to trash the entire thing. Any ideas on what to replace it with?

Plastic vs metal in these sort of things ... plastic usually wins cause it gives and metal don't. You think maybe the high head speed has something to do with the wear? Can you pull the pin and replace it? I mean it is just there to stop rotation and that is all. It doesn't need to be fancy or anything.

The pin comes out. But I'm not aware of a suitable replacement from Esky or anybody. I did some shopping today for another project and ended up with a spare Align AR pin. Its the one that also has the ELEV swash ball link and the threads are a direct match for the Esky head. The stock plastic AR stand wasn't wide enough so I Dremel'd it out, then sanded. I just got it installed and the thread lock is setting up. It won't be as servicable as the stock setup, but at least I won't be throwing away the swash.

By the way, the pin is aluminum. I also discovered that all of the ball ends in the CNC head are also aluminum. Note the B400 balls are stainless steel. I went threw the head and replaced as many balls as I could with the one from the B400 kit. I also converted the link from the blade grip to the control link to use the larger Align balls and ball links. I don't have the B400 balls with the built-in stand-off so I won't be able to do the ball in the swash until I go back to the LHS. But just replacing all the aluminum balls in the top removed more than half of the slop.
