Gentlemen, I stand before you a humbled man. I have never had a stake in the Aurora campaign other than witnessing its flying capabilities and its component qualities and based on that criteria have been a ardent defender of of Avant and its associates. I take no pride in admitting that the release schedule was not met according to information that was provided to me and others closely tied to Avant 3,2,1, announcement. I have posted the info provided by Augusto in response to my inquiry about the delay and can be interpreted by all for review. I do believe the units will start shipping mid-week 5-14-08. I have asked Augusto to provide photo's of units on pallets and various stages of packaging to provide some element of proof that suggests shipping is imminent as he did provide a photo in his response to me but was unable to download the photo in its format from the Avant private PM message. So to all that I have commented to in a fashion that may have offended or insulted you I apologize and stand corrected in my earlier statements regarding the release. I will post the photos if sent to me or else provided by some other means.

The only pic I want to see is you wearing a dress
It's cool, I won't hold it against you.... Really the cheerleaders should not be faulted... They just like the heli and want one. Avant are the ones who truly have the egg on their face.

All you get for $1,000 charge to your card is a photo
What a sweet deal
Months ago you got a vid, now all you get is a photo that can't be downloaded
I am baffled
This is turning into a soap opera? This plot has more twists than general hospital
I'd call it a comedy... but after charging peoples cards. I say it is not funny.
I'd rather be flying

Now that's a big hunk of humble pie you just ate!!! Kudos to you.
Too bad the pilots etc. who were gloating don't have the decency you just showed.
I know I said I wouldn't post here again, but wanted to give you credit. Off to lurking w/o posting again.

fr8brkr: very nice said. I'm impressed.
I don't have a problem with you or the heli (which I find among the most beautiful ever designed). I understand that we want to defend what we like and thats ok. However I do have a problem with the man who started this BS and his little dogs that are paid to fly the thing. I'm refering particulary to those who came on this board the night of the 3.2.1 just to bash everybody around. That is not an acceptable behaviour for an employee of any company, especially from one that has screwed up that many times.
I can only imagine what would happen if you would have ordered a radio from HP and after 2 years of delays and lies they call you saying "Troll, we are going to ship it tomorrow! Yes, we are the greatest! Your damm radio is going to be shipped tomorrow HAHAHA"
get the picture?

I'm not so easily impressed. A tiger doesn't change his stripes. Fr8brkrs so called apology couldn't be more transparent as it also includes ANOTHER bullsh1t release date,

I do believe the units will start shipping mid-week 5-14-08.
and he is still playing middle man for Augusto by posting the date and his BS shipping pics and explanations (excuses).
He doesn't even seemed bothered he was lied to. Wouldn't you be PISSED if someone you had such faith in and fought so hard for made an ass of you?
What he wrote here doesn't even qualify as an apology, just a carefully worded attempt to save face without hurting his relationship with his partners in crime.
If he was interested in regaining his credibility he would have the courage to publicly denounce Augustos actions and his phantom heli. Something he was very careful not to do.
You insulted too many people for too long to consider this so called apology adequate Bill. Put a little heart into it........................or put on a dress.
Sorry if this seems harsh guys but gullibility is what made this the mess it is in the first place.
I'll say that again; gullibility is what made this the mess it is in the first place

I think it took quite a bit of guts to admit he was wrong. For that I applaud him.
I also do not blame him or the other 'cheerleaders'.
I do wish the reps/sponsored pilots would let their voices be publicly heard as well. I understand how they feel they should not speak....But, some were quick to insult and belittle when they thought the release was here. And I think this type of action by Bill is a big step towards earning respect.
Augusto owes a SERIOUS apology, not more hype and BS.

Thank you for your kind replies. Carl, My belief in the kits going out next week are based solely on Augusto's PM and a phone conversation with him the day of the posting. I am not suggesting anything else but what he himself is saying. As far as feeling let down about the shipping commitment HE maintained -- I AM. As far as I am concerned I will no longer post any information I have or receive until the kits are released. It has marred my reputation and for that I am both embarrassed and ticked -off. I can certainly feel some amount of frustration that many have shared their opinions in the past. I do not speak on behalf of any others that may have voiced their opinions in defending the release status. It is up to them to decide to speak if they so desire. With respect, Bill

Ha Got a name, good one Bill
You just went up ten notches in my book for standing up here and saying what you did.
You also were the one that provided the info in regards to the delay, knowing fully how much pounding you were going to get for it. Augusto should give you the bird for free, considering the amount of work you have done against all odds, to save some kind of reputation for the man's company.

Even though I am no longer suppose to post on the Avant forum.... I will take a chance just to say...
That no matter what....it did take allot of something.... for Bill to get out here and state what he did.... a lesser individual would have gotten even madder and nastier!
Now...Bill is not a hero ....but he has shown in this case to be a stand up...guy...and that is all we can expect... given the human condition etc etc.

Congrats glad you came to see that no one is safe from being duped not matter how 'connected' anyone thinks they are. The beauty of the Aurora is not enough to make it a successful heli. Forever this heli will be haunted with its past and I think alot of guys flying them will get mocked at the field, I know i will when*if* I see them at a flying field I go to.
