| Two things going on
First, I like the wires on the exterior and accessible for easy maintenance or changeout.
Secondly, I could reduce the volume by cutting things down to optimum lengths, but every time I do that I come to regret it later. So I just bundle all the excess wire.
For instance, I want to change the 401 to a Spartan gyro. It will be a 5 minute job. And that will get rid of a lot of the wires.
