I really liked Phoenix Sim when I couldn't fly because of the wind and such but now that I have the gym to fly in, I don't really use it. Seems link of a waste to keep it when it would more than pay for my recent 7C splurge. Anyhow I have posted it up in the classifieds but if someone here would like it, let me know and maybe we could work out a little better deal

TJ , If and/or when you start fartin around with inverted stuff, if you don't master it on the SIM first --- you will be crashin ALOT !! you may want to reconsider sellin it. Just cause your not using it now doesn't mean you won't need it in the future.

Nope, just the Futaba adapter.

I know that it can be useful and will be more useful later on but right now it is just sitting there doing nothing and I could use the money. Plus I won't be far enough past FF until a year from now probably and at that time I can consider buying another one and the new model will most likely be out by then anyways. I look at it like this, worst case senario, I will be rebuying it in 6 months and I will loose maybe $30. I can live with that.

Yup that is the one and here is the actual web site

http://www.phoenix-sim.com/

I tell you this is the best one out there. I started with G4 and that is not bad for plank fliers but Phoenix is better all the way around. Plus they have the actual helis we fly like the Mini, HBK2, Rex450, Rex600 ...

I see, I didn't know that it was way cheaper there Damn, that means I am asking too much for it on the classifieds. Hum ... I will have to think about that.

Its just the opposite of what you might thing???? In other words, the manufacturer WANTS to sell through retailers and not deal directly with the public I guess. I dunno. I think you should keep it anyway really. If Im gonna get good at flyin one of these Im gonna have to get one too I guess.

See now I am having second thoughts. I know I don't use it much right now. I also know it will come in handy later on. I could use the money. More thinking is required I think.

Keep the SIM.
Even if you don't use it now, you WILL come back to it.

(and that's a lot coming from me! I don't usually support SIMs)

Hey, you did make me go look at Phoenix again though. I passed up on it originally because it didn't include the Tx, and I didn't have one I could use.
I have a DX6i now that I COULD use with it, so I took a longer look.
I have to admit that the graphics look a lot better than G4. So I guess it would come down to the physics. I'm personally not to impressed with that part of G4, but then I only have very limited experience with Helis to draw on.

I will say about G4 though: It's great for fixed wing!
I flew fixed wing extensively, and the G4 physics for them is very close. I've been getting on and using it do things I'd never consider doing with a real plane. I just may add a few new tricks when I get my fleet back in the air (next summer).

So maybe it's G4 for fixed wing, and Phoenix for Rotary?

Helicopters don't fly, they beat the air into submission.

Na Phoenix all the way. G4 is nice but once you play with Phoenix, it is just better in every way. The menus are better, the aircraft are better, the training modes are better ... you get all free upgrades, models and scenery ... hell it even has autorotation training! I do miss the G4 controller though as it is a 6EX but it runs off usb. So you don't have to continually charge the battery in your regular controller.

I had reflex but didnt use it. I sold it. I dont regret it either. If i start doing inverted itll probably be next year. Ill think about it then. I need to get real good at what im doing before moving on. TJin, that things gonna gather dust. sell it and buy more batteries or heli parts. You can get another next year when you progress further. I may not buy one when i get ready to invert. Im planning on hanging a heli upside down in the garage. Ill tie some fishing line to the skids or something. im not ready yet so ill keep thinking about it. Later
Brad

Dont wait for me. Ill get there when i get there
