Ive been flying my T-rex for a few months now and today I experienced
moment where my engine sounded like it went to idle and back up to speed immediately. It did this three times. Is this what they call a hiccup? I'm flying a hyper and an OS bubbleless clunk and my gov. is a multigov.
I only roll a couple of times each time I fly. So will a bubble in the fuel line cause this or is it a tuning issue?
The Multigov manual says that if you are getting hiccups, they say to try to lean out low end. But I did'nt know what a hiccup was.
Thanks, Rob

Check the fuel tubing inside the tank.
It may have pinholes or rupture.

I built my 600 Pro late Jan but only started flying it about a month ago, have about 10 tanks of fuel thru it and last week it started acting funny but could see almost a half tank of fuel in the main tank. I landed it and the surge tank was amost empty. The fuel line holding the clunk in the main tank had split and the clunk came off.

Some things to check.
1. Your fuel line may have gotten soft and is collapsing on itself.
2. Your receiver is glitching causing the receiver to go into fail safe mode, which would put your throttle at idle.

It should not be the governor as if you where to lose the magnet or sensor, the governor switches back to the default throttle curve.

You dont say what radio gear you are running. So going into idle indicates fail safe to me. Check battery level or if your PPm or PCM next time your at the field take a frequency checker and checki around for errant signals causing a lockout.

When I was running a 9254 with my ATG Governor, I had the same thing happening. The engine would cut down to idle and then immediately come back up to full power. I am running a OS50 Hyper in my 600N with X9303 radio. I figured the TX-RX link was Ok, but fiddled with several things trying to get it figured out. It turned out that the frame rate on the servo was too high for the governor. I got a cheap servo with a lower frame rate and put it on the throttle, and voila... purrs like a kitten.

So, check that your throttle servo is compatable with your Gov. It might not be your solution, but it was in my situation. Good luck hunting it down.

could be a servo going bad, low voltage or interferance lockout, or fuel delivery problem. I'd be carefull flying it, until you can find the problem.

servo

I'm using a Hitec HS5475HB. But I've ran two gallons through this heli with this setup and no glitches. It just start happening out of the blue. My multigov paperwork states that if your engine is hiccupping to try to lean out the low end or raise the low throttle limit in the gov setup. I'm not sure if I'm hearing the throttle cut to idle or if the engine is just dieing for that instance

Disable gov and fly on curves. If you are glitching that will eliminate the gov as the culprit. Also check for wire chaffing and or rubbing on the carbon frames.

the servo you have is fine.

I agree. Start bypassing things 1 by 1 and see if you can narrow it down. I would start by replacing all your fuel line and bypassing the governor.

Next Step

I disabled the gov. today and it still glitched. Also at one point the cyclic did not respond. I pushed my anenna in to do range check and i was only about twenty feet away when it went to fail safe. The throttle servo started fluttering and would not quit ontil I walked back to xmtr and moved the stick around. I have a JR 8103 thats probably 20 years or more. My receiver has been in 3 crashes.

Ahhhh, there is your trouble shooting start spot. Send the Rx and Tx in for a check up.
