Hi all:

Confused over the setting. Should the mixture be flushed and how many turns on the high end needle?

Plus how many gallons for run in? I saw thread stating that this engine needs more running in? Is engine engine suppose to be hot ( at the backplate) ?

SOS. Any kind soul can help?

No, this engine should not be very hot after some normal sport flying. I'm also running it in, I spose 5 to 7 tanks is enough. Set the high end needle 3 turns open and the mixture needle about 3 and a half and try.

TT.53 Settings

The low end adjustment screw should be about flush to the carb body, and the high end should be around 2.75-3 turns out with the MP5.

The motor does not take long to break in, 8-10 flights of running it a little rich and not loading it down too much should be fine.
