I want a replacement boom that is compatible to the Carbon Weave boom 31.5" MA0587-2. I want a boom that is possibly aluminum.

Will these booms fit:

31.5 " aluminum boom?

Zooms hobbies has exactly what you ask for! But I wonder why you want to change. A crash is going to destroy either one.

Probably because carbon booms have become expensive, aluminum much cheaper.

Yep exactly, besides I myself don't see much of an advantage for me to have a carbon boom when I'm flying. I think it's better for me to use my money on more fuel to get more stick time than unnecessary upgrades or bling.

Aloha

I've got an extra 31.5 carbon boom I'm looking to sell. I just sold my Fury 70 so I don't need the spare anymore as my 90 has the 33in boom.

PM if you are interested otherwise it's destined for ebay.

Personally, I'd rather have the bling... but I'd keep the aluminum one for back up, because these things are nearly indestructable. I've bent my aluminum boom several times and have been able to straighten it even through some of the roughest crashes.

If you want an aluminum boom go here. This is my favorite store!!!

The carbom booms are very fragile and expensive and flexable.
heres what you want.

You can polish the alum boom to a mirror finish if you want bling.

Or paint it to match. Guess if it's aluminum I could also annodize it. Geez that'd be sweet!

Anodized booms...

I have had many custom anodized booms in the past...here's a few...

I still have a custom one on my E Stratus also...it''s a bit expensive but it is a very cool touch..

I had those all done at custom RC.com

Unfortunately the guy who did them(Scott) was involved in a car accident and no longer does them...but I'm sure just about any anodize shop can do custom ones like these...

They cost me about 45$ each just to have them anodized....so it's not cheap either..
