| A number of people have commented on this issue, but here's my experience. I'm the third or fourth owner of a kind of doggy Hawk Pro. Like a number of Hawk owners, mine would spin up, but not take off. Engine would be going like mad, but pitch would not come up, even at high stick. Pitch seemed fine with engine off. I thought the pitch servo was pooped, so replaced it. Same problem. I thought the linkages were sloppy, so lightened everything up. Same problem. So I thought the thrust bearings must be in wrong. Opps. Older spindle -- no thrust bearings. Turns out the large and small washers in the blade grips were in the wrong order. Small is supposed to go on first, then the large washer, then the lock nut. With the large washer on first, the washer would bind on the outer race of the race bearing in both blade grips and lock the grips up, so when the head spun up, the pitch wouldn't change. Flys like a champ with the washers in the correct order.
