Re: Some shipping confusion
Hi Bill,

You're the second person that asks me that today.

We work with the dealers only and not the final customer. So we don't charge anyone's card or are aware of who has been charged. That being said maybe HP is charging for the coming shipments because they have to process their orders ahead of time before they authorize us to ship.

There are some orders that will ship from the factory and those will have a tracking number after they are shipped that will be provided to HP in a report. Others will be shipping directly from HP because they include additional parts to complete their orders. It's not unusual for a company to process UPS shipments ahead of time and get a tracking number assigned to it. HP can process the UPS shipment ahead of time and have the tracking number assigned to their shipments that will be valid once they ship the kits that come from their facility. I would assume that's what the tracking numbers are coming from.

Regarding the our shipments dealers are aware that there was a delay due to packing taking longer than anticipated and then there was an issue we caught last night before we shipped the first pallets where a hole in the frame had to have a threaded insert and instead was drilled as a regular M3 hole. We are processing the correction to make the hole larger and install the threaded insert so that will delay the shipment until around Wednesday when they are all processed and packed again. Midland, RC-Direct and Heliproz are aware of it. So relax and don't worry cause it's just a small hiccup that will be over in no time. As far as HP charging the cards I would assume that's a normal procedure to verify payment and complete orders while they process their shipments ahead of time.

Augusto.

It seems that there are many HP pre-order folks that say their credit cards have been charged but no confirmation on shipping the same day. It appears that HP is charging the cards but not providing proof of shipment via tracking numbers. Just curious if HP is confirming shipments after the card is debited. If there are delays for what ever reason some clarification would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I'm calling B.S on that.

That has got to be the lamest excuse ever.

I really get a laugh about the "Around Wednesday"
That means at least 3 more weeks before the next excuse rolls out

I'm still in love with my fantastic plastic cheap helis, they have exactly all the necesary threaded holes in place, no more, no less, and only be charged to my CC when they are REALLY shipped.

Oh gee mr brkr, i remember telling you mid april despite your ranting and raving that we'll see you at the end of the month and we'll have NOTHING! remember that bud? A stupid announcement doesn't count, that was only one of many. i hope you stop being blinded by the beauty and see the reality of the situation.

btw, even when these helis are out, when going to your local field, you better have a thick skin for the jokes that will be made.

fr8brkr,

You actually LOST the bet. Ehn, Simon, me and a few others actually won it, considering how it all panned out. Weren't you suppose to have one by this time. You ain't flying nothing.

Well, I guess:

1) Me and Simon owe you some eggs and cucumbers straight in the face, preferably at >40 mph for best effects
2) And EHN wants to send you some KY Jelly. I'm sure that's for greasing your bearings.

the "launch" was a red herring. fr8brkr is now red in the face with embarrassment.

Why stop at eggs, I'm sure there's plenty of other perishable items that we can bombard him with. Least of all SHAME.
