hey , I have a set of blades that are Semi-sym , like to know if this changes a normal setup any , like most helis has around 4 degrees of pitch to counter rotor head torque. would these be at 0 degrees ?????

only seen a set on an Ion back in the day which was clear plastic but didnt really use them

I don't know why you would want semi-symmetrical blades on your tail... The blades need to be efficient and able to make equal lift in both directions not just one. Your gyro would have to work harder in one direction than the other.

If the wings are travelling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter

Naw! not really if you look at where the bads are when your at a hover, torque from the motor. as it goes up when given colective the sym part of the blade grabs better , and when you relieve the torque or neg pitch , the flat side has help. if you know what I mean. like I said the Ion came with stock plastic tail blades that were like this too. ran good for mild 3D. hard 3D it would blow

I wouldn't think there would be enough camber difference to really make it grab that much better than symmetrical blades. So you are giving up piro capability on one side for what? With today's gyros I don't see why one would want semi-sym's but who knows...
