| I don't think you can compare both helis in terms of price because crash resistance counts alot too.
For example, I crashed once hard with my 600N. Well not that hard but I had the unluck of piercing my right frame. For those who don't know, in europe, just the right carbon (1.6mm) frame costs $100. Man was I pissed. I also had to replace the tail output shaft because it bent on impact (tail blades were ok though) front plastic bed etc. All in all everything came out at $200.
Last week I was practicing pushover autos with my vibe and I screwed up one of them. Lets just say that the bird came in hard, broke the landing gear, bounced and slided over 10 feet through earth rocks and dirt. The canopy separated imediately on impact saving the frames and as a result I only bent the flybar, broke a tail blade and bent my 140ccpm linkages. Pretty cheap in my book
I must say I was shocked to find out that the front frame savers (that are also the bed frames) are cheaper than those two little g10 frame savers in the back. In my opinion its a robbery charging like $10 for 2 flimsy small frame savers. The least they could do is to offer 2 sets or something like that.
I could make a set myself (I have G10 plates) but just thinking of the mess I rather bought some new ones. However, next time I'm going to make some myself. I wish my CNC would be better or I would mass produce them and sell them at cost+labour. Doing the math, they shouldn't cost more than $1-$2 to make.
