Hey everyone

last weekend I stacked my Raptor in to the dirt thinking it was a 9252 finally giving up but on closer inspection ....it's my Transmitter.
The left/right cyclic ( mode one) doesn't centre correctly and will twitch all over the place if I move the stick
I purchased a new FF9 on the 07 march 2007 via Helikraft ( great people) and they say there shop warranty is for only 6 months.
I have always looked after my transmitter like it was my child....it is one of the most expensive part of anyones model helicopter. kepping it in a alli case, keeping free from mousture and so on.

It's A real issue as this trans does 2 helis 3 cars 1 submarine and also cooks my tea

I heard it might be a naffed pot ????

my questions are

- would Futaba have this under warranty
- has this happend to anyone else? if so what did you do to fix it
- is it a pot or something else
- general comments

any advice would be welcome
many thanks

certainly sounds like a dirty POT. Not sure about warranty (if it is global or not) so you should contact your closest Futaba Repair Center to find out.

If it isn't covered, try to get an estimate for a pot change (I wish I could help but I was charged as low as $60 and as high $200 for pot changes... you never know)

Another alternative is to open the radio and exchange the pot yourself. As far as I remember the 9C is pretty simple inside (compared to the 9 zap and MZ series) so you shouldn't have a problem to get to the pot and replace it. The Pot is readly available in any electronic store for like 3.99 lol

Oh thats really a constructive comment.

So, can you FINALLY assign switches on JR Radios? Ups... I don't think even the new 12x thats comming out does that...

Lets stay on topic. He's not asking about changing, he's asking about fixing a 9C
