My Fury Extreme has a closed tail box which was assembled when I got it. I am changing out the tail rotor shaft and have some re-assembly questions. How tight should the gear mesh be? When I turn the shaft, I can feel the gears meshing together as it is put together now. Also, when I took apart the tail, it was full of grease. I put quite a bit of hydrogen grease in the box but should it be packed full?

Thanks,

Nathan

MA says to set the mesh as tight as you can get it and it still rotates smooth and freely. I had always set mine with a very slight amount of lash. And then check it after 5 flights to see if it needs to be tightened up. I wouldnt pack the whole box full of grease the majority of it will sling out during operation around the bearings and shaft.

fly it like u stole it
