Hi,

Augusto posted this on Avant support forum. He says that it balances perfectly.

I'll be using a Thunder Power 2s2p 4200mAh pack.
it weighs 6.2oz. (176g)

I can't find a weight on the 4300mAh pack from flight power, as it seems to have been discontinued. Looks like it has been replaced with a 4340mAh pack @ 7.9oz. (224g)
The 4300mAh pack can't be much lighter.

lately I switch form 4200 to flight power 1800MA (only 99gm).

BTW Both of them balances perfectly thanks to the great design that allow you move the battery plate back & forward.

This thunderpower pack, my own measurements are

102x33x26mm
much smaller and lighter than the flight power.

Only downside to this pack, is it is more expensive then the flight power.
about $110USD

Yedid Guy,

How many flights do you get with 1800mAh pack before recharging? Are you using 8V-setup?

Those early pictures were of my Aurora. We used to use 2x TP2000mah packs wired in parallel.

These were replaced with FP4340's a while back.

No - no problem for the canopy - currently using AR9100's (bulky) so the battery had to be moved forward of where it was with the AR9000 - hoping to replace the 9100's with AR7100's soon.

Going to the 7100's just for shaving weight or what?
Built in regulator?
the 7100 doesn't offer 2048 resolution, as far as I know, so that would be the trade off.

I read that you were planning on doing that on your website/blog
