I just think the design is not right. It might not need full travel but at least it should not hit. when the grip starting to hit the control arm, there are still about 1-2mm of travel left.

"Needed" No. Neither machine need it but the 600 shares the same tail rotor design which has the same issue at high RPM so I'm sure they share the same added benefit.
I plan to give these a try. From what I read the Chinese weights really improve the feel and authority the gyro has.

your slider is backwards....the slider with the ball link attachment and brass guide should have the brass guide facing outwards away from shaft. i.e. brass facing out...its thinner so that the grip can maintain rotation and not hit anything.
