You overlooked that God was before space as well.

Yes, compassion for the folks who are suffering is what is needed. At this time, we need to be critical of their government's response!

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

no one should ever forget, evil is still here on earth. but GOD will always have a way for goodness to dominate. ALWAYS. you can take that to the bank. we can never limit GOD to any disaster or unfortunate events. this is HIS creation, and HE knows what he is doing.

It takes a serious commitment to believe. Some people just don't have what it takes or understand the true meaning of the word "commitment" when it has a cost or requires an action behind it. Here's a little story for you to think about.

A Pig and a chicken walk past a homeless shelter. There is a sign out front that says please help feed the homeless. The chicken tells the pig we should help them. But the pig says what can we do were just a chicken and a pig? The chicken says we could provide them with some eggs and ham! The pig looks at the chicken pretty surprised and said that's fine for you, all you have to do is lay a few eggs. My commitment is to give my life to help someone I dont even know.

So I ask are you a chicken or a pig?

Good story Avro and I understand your point. Although, everyone has choices in life. Granted some may have to try harder then others but there are a lot of homeless people/beggers that have never tried hard enough to turn thier lives around. To make a difference, you have to start with yourself and no one can help you with that.

the point is not the homeless here. he is speaking of Jesus Christ, laying down His life for everyone that will believe in Him.

Awww, geeze. Did you idiots really have to take the bait again? I'm all for a good theological discussion, but when someone is clearly trying to stir things up, can't you just walk away?

Easy Pitch Fan about the Homeless !

You have not a clue to the circumstances that lead people to a rescue mission. PERIOD .

I'm envolved thru faith with a Gospel mission.
I also hope someday to retire and serve with maybe a vo tech type program to help them re - enter.

Like most of the general public view's about the homeless, the person has never sat and listened to the those that the absolute bottom has fallen out of their lives. Close to bilical hell as it can get without death / and that happens also, no - family - behind a dumpster.

Most individual's would rather be served than to serve.
Self alway's comes 1st in our society. Vanity.

All walks of life, Enginners " New one personally who's famose !" Doctors, Educator's , Business owners, Vet's, Women, with very young young chidren.

Adults and children, Cold, Sick, and Animal hungry due to terrible event's that occur in their live's. Worse yet they been so totally defeated that they see no light - We try to reach out through FAITH which you cannot see or touch.

Presently trying to raise capital for a new facility due to a forced move that was not our doing. It's very tough struggle to raise the needed capital do to the general public attitude to the homeless. Dang tough cause were on a dead line. Dang tough because of vanity attitudes.

Next time you see a dirty, cold and wet sick person, or a car of kids some who could be sick, sleeping behind a building. Ask them if they want to get warm, take a hot shower, eat, lay down on something soft, get some sleep, some clean things to wear, and maybe hear a bit of the gospel, and if nesscesarry we will help them get well.

We have people that work 7 day's a week, but walk to work, can't afford 400.00 Mo rent, still can't afford doctors so they work sick or in pain, a treat is a drive thru burger or even a piece of candy or even a pair of shoes.

Sorry about the soap box guy's - but it's a raw nerve. When it comes to integrity - I've got one who spend s the day picking can's, he donates it ALL to the local cancer center and he does pretty well.

One who cleans, I would eat a meal off any of his floors or behind the stool ! Look out for your fellow brothers, someday it just might be someone you know.

Path is wide / door is narrow : Jack

@Dick

God sent that cyclone to Burma for a reason. Probably because the place was too damn overpopulated and if the storm hit further off in the future even more would be killed than were now.
Maybe there was a preponderance of "Dicks" in the population that needed thinning out. If you're gonna bake cake, you always end up breaking a few eggs.

The most revealing words of all, spewed hither and yon by assholes of ALL faiths: "I'm holier than thou! I'm going where YOU CAN'T GO because you're too intelligent to believe in fables!" What an ASS.

Once again, another existentially-impaired halfwit turns the bright light of truth upon himself to reveal the phenomenal degree of his own arrogant stupidity.

F off to you and all the moronic, self-righteous pricks like you, John. You and yours are among the most reviled, repugnant mammals on the planet. As a group, your type are responsible for more pain, suffering and death than any other 'grouping' of people on this planet. If there were a hell, it's YOUR TYPE who'd be first in line to burn for eternity.

Get down on your knees RIGHT NOW and thank your non-existent supreme being that heaven and hell and gods and devils exist only in your minds!

Idiots.

It takes a serious commitment to believe. - Avropilot
It takes a far more serious commitment to face the facts head on about what we REALLY are and what this Universe is REALLY about. Faith in mythology all over the planet (to the tune of 80% of all humans) reveals ONLY that 80% of all humans have a less than relentless desire to know the TRUTH about the fundamentals of existence.

80% of humans feel it's fine and dandy to believe in fairy tales, and at least half of THEM believe it's fine and dandy to tell non-believers (who as a group are FAR more honorable than they are) that they're going to hell, a place that doesn't even exist!

Frightening eh?

Sure is. And remember -- it's 4 out of 5 who proudly display this dementia.

Death and destruction in Myanmar occurred for no other reason than bad planning followed by bad weather. Recovery and rebuilding will occur for no other reason than the fundamental biological urge to survive.

For once I have to agree with you 100%.
Thanks you for having saved me from the work of having to respond to that moron, whom you quoted in the 1st paragraph.
Your reply has shown the delicacy and sensitivity that these people need or otherwise they just don't "get it".

I would just like to add to the above quote. "And the common decency of your fellow human being wanting to help another fellow men in need".

What does God have to do with this disaster?

Absolutely nothing,, some people are just not happy, unless they are causing trouble,, You know the type?? XGM/VGM

Funny, when its something good thats happened its all "hey look what god did", eg a pilot that saved a plane full of people a while back, who got credited..... god.

Odd, I didnt know god flew for Lufthansa.....

But when its bad, its god had nothing to do with this.

Come on lets have some consistancy FFS.
