just got the all metal head installed with the red dampners and ran it up, set the tracking. i flew it for maybe 5 minutes and the head is sloppy lose! the dampners feel like mush.

everything is locktighted and no nuts or bolts are lose.

this is not normal is it? should it have done that after 5 minutes of hovering?

any insight would be much appreciated.

thanks,

-Mike

If it is the TT head the phasing ring is not tight enough.

The black ring that is on the bottom of the head.
It also serves as a clamp. It may feel snug but probably is not.

Are the aluminum rings installed behind each blade grip on the feathering spindle?

OK then, were the red rubbers a tight fit when you put them in the rotor hub? Was the feathering spindle a relatively tight fit when you pushed it in to the rubbers in the rotor hub?

If it wasn't, my guess is that the red rubbers shrunk out of the mold a little or the bores in the rotor hub are too big.

Ace hobby have sent out bad red dampners!

i ordered three sets of dampners after first having this problem.

i got 2 packages that were the same and one was different. the font on the package and the bag size were not the same.

heres pics of band new never opened dampners...

good dampners, very hard plastic.

bad dampners, soft mushy(feels the same as the stock black dampners)

side by side. left side are the good ones, the bag is bigger and the font is bold. on the right side is the bad dampners, the bag is shorter and the font is smaller and not bold.

i talked to heliproz and the said they wouldnt do anything about it and i need to call ace hobbies. Ill let you guys know what Ace hobbies says when i talk to them.
