hello i am installing my os 50 hyper engine into the raptor 50 heli... it fits fine but the head of the engine seems to be touching the fan shroud that comes down...i was wondering if that will be melting onto the head... any pointers on how to fix this or mods someone has done or isn't this a problem with the heli thanks for your time

The hyper shouldn't rub on the shroud.

Of the three Raptor 50's with OS50 Hypers in them, they all rubbed the top of the head on the frames/shroud. You can take a dremmel and grind the frames down a bit where it rubs, but other than rubbing a small amount of the blue off the head, it has caused no problems for me.

My bad, he's right, it does rub a small V into the blue, it won't melt anything though.

I once read someone here refered to it as "Raptor rash" on the blue Hyper head - mine have it.

I wonder if the Redline will have the same tattoo after running in an R50?

I have the same marking on mines too but its only on one side of the head. Everything is all good though. I think the next time i crash or have to take my heli apart i will sand that head cover down so i won't have to worry about it anymore.
