I bought a Hacker motor from them and after about 3 min of flight, the motor broke/seized up. So, I sent it back asking for a refund cuz I want to get tango instead. They said, " If the motor has been used then we cant give refunds, only store credit." Well, how does someone know if the motor is defective unless one uses it right? This is after they told me to send the motor in and promised me a refund..

is that a new heli? Oh no honey, its the same one w/different stickers.....

This would be under a manufacturing defect and you should go through the manufacturer under warranty.

and if they still dont do it right I would post the topic on the main discussion on runryder. Hacker motors run hot and are not as efficient anyways!

I think you will like the hacker motor just fine. First That I have heard of one of the A40's having issues. No surprise about the refund. I don't think anyone does that after trying the motor out. I would get the replacement and let er rip.

Hello all

Saitoflyer, don't be discouraged about your dealings with FX. Although other people may have had different experiences in terms of the exchange/refund policies at different shops, most of the reputable shops I have dealt with did not offer refunds on such products.

Chances are, you got the one bad motor in the bunch. Hacker products seem to have a very good reputation in terms of quality and performance. I am willing to bet that your bad experience will not be relived the second time around. I'm not sure how long you've been in the hobby but you'll see that every now and then, you will get a dud. It happens. The A-40 series motors appear to be great applications for the Logo 500. Good luck and safe flying.

It is not FXaeromodels he has the problem with, it is Aero-model. The Mikado and Hacker distributor.....Ron
