| Ok guys, i hooked up my new battery (Iron Corps 6.6V) with the following step downs:
1. For the gyro - 2 diode (in series) - seeing 5.1V on the gyro screen
2. For the throttle - one diode between the servo and ATG - should give the servo about 5.9V.
3. For the Smart Carb - one diode between the reciever and the unit - should give the servo about 5.9V.
SO far all seems to work perfect on the ground, its a little mess with the wires but i got it neat as i wanted it to be.
Im also running a "Deans to 3 JR" adapter on the reciever input from the battery, one to "Batt", one to "CH8" and one to "CH5" slong with the gyro signal. this is on a R608FS reciever.
PS - ferincr, 2 diodes in a series should not be heating up more than one diode !
