I have my governor channel 7 on my 9ZWC2, and 3 position switch C. This gives me the ability to have 2 different RPM ranges, and governor disabled in the center. You need some amount of gain in (more than 5% off of center) to make it work.
Now to set RPM. With the throttle not armed, set your base RPM with the set button. I run 14000 in normal and 15750 in idle up. This means I want 14000 as my base RPM. When the governor is not armed, it is showing base RPM. Use the set button to illuminate 14k. Now increase throttle above 25%. The governor should arm. The lights are now showing the RPM that is added to base RPM. No lights = 14k in my case. As you increase governor channel gain, you see the lights increasing. first light on is 14,250. Second on, first off is 14,500. First and second is 14,750. Third light on, no others is 15,000
