Finially ! No Snow on Sunday ! 70 degree's and 20 + mph wind but got out In the Iowa Flat Land's.

Kinda nuts as these big hat sucker thermals were blowing thru in cycles followed by piles of ice cold sink driving down .

New gasser curves are great ! The SE -X Hanson is similar - but a different posistion on the graph " flat line " than the Ten OH Five flat line but what a difference, - even when it's blowing like mad and your leaning into it' !!! Hung their like rock's in forward flight as it's blowing. Great for practicing all orientations as their just leaning their like crazey sideway's.

Crazey part was as the cold sink come's rolling thru - you could almost time the cycles and expect to get driven down as you get that cold creepy feeling as it's blowing!

Dialing in the gassers also was a big asset with the Lil stinky R30 V1 as I just dialed up until I had the feel in the wind. Pretty much a perfect bench set up off the batt.

After the lil-puppy " with a Fat r- 50 Bob fuel tank and header " was just sitting there in the wind I said :" Will isn't That Just Stupid "

Ok Who's Tach to purchase ?? Stay with the family or try the new kid on the block ??

Here's the fleet before loading out : !

Surface technology Blades

I wonder if you went a full season without cleaning off the protein of the bug inner's - if you'd get something like the new surface technology witch craft stuff being offered on blades ???

I also keep thinking of picking up a pair of them wing wistle things and imbedd them in a set of woodies. That outa make a few cringe !!
I saw a Nerf foot Ball that had them - I may just see what that does - I'll probabley get booted ! Here it coming and going along with blade RPM.

I'm still trying to live this red thing down : I can't wait when they go up with their Extra's and Carden's - I'll scarem !!! This has lots of vertical performance . "YTAAL" {yet to achieve a loop} !

How about some bug goo photo's for who's got the nastiest ??

We could call the bug POO post- " Post your Bug Poo Pic's "

I got a bit of a sting on my arms - from the sun on Sunday. 4 hrs. with my Raptors, none on the Predator. It was a bit windy so I pretty much had the field to myself till about 4pm. R50 with the TT50 engine took some of my time trying to get it to run right.

Pred. is sitting on the bench waiting patiently for some time so I can put the O-rings in the main shaft clutch - and install the wonderful "Jewel" generator!

All-in-all a good weekend if a bit limited on hobby time.

...yep...

Oh man...!

About a month ago what seemed like thousands of black flies were at the field. As the sun was shining you could see them like a swarm in the 100's floating around.

So I decided that it was more fun to "vacuum" them up instead of fly, and I hovered my 1005 below them and would collective up and down through the swarms until they were reduced in numbers. Then I'd find another swarm and do the same.

I spent like 20 minutes doing this and when I finally landed my blades were a bloody mess. I don't think there was a 1/4 inch of blade without dead bugs splattered over it. I believe I killed a thousand of them!

Should have taken a picture of that, would have definately won the most buggy blade competition. But since the snow just melted for greyeagle, these are probably the same bugs. So go out there and do some bug vacumming with the 1005 and then send us a photo!

17 year Cicadas wreaked havoc on us last year. My Trex 450 took more than few hits....one knocked me wobbly...

A plane pilot lost a large plank on approach when one of the alien 17yr Cicadas landed on his cheek and he freaked.

Wanna hover??? Buy a helicopter.
