Ok, I notice that when I throttle up hard that the tail wants to drift about 46 degrees.

Also when I fly in the wind the tail does do some drifting.

So...

When I adjust the gain to high the tail oscillates during takeoff, to low and the same problem. I can't seem to find a happy medium.

Has anyone with the stock gyro had this same issue?

Has anyone with this issue resolved it using the Futaba GY401 Gyro?

Thanks

I'd change the tail servo. That stock one sucks. I'm using a dsp75 programmed into "tail" mode. Then you can at least switch the gyro into digi mode and use it to the fullest of it's capabilities. You may end up changing out your gyro anyways so if you get a good deal on a bundle (matched gyro and servo in 1 package for discounted price) you may want to seriously consider it.

Align servo mount. Fast, cheap, easy, simple, and a much better location imo. You can also tuck the gyro away in a much safer spot.
