Engines Plugs Mufflers Fuel > What pipe works best with the TT 53

I am finishing off a RJX Xtreme 50 with a TT 53 engine. What pipe works best with it?? I was considering the Align, Hatori (Bobby Watts), Mp5 (I like how quiet this pipe is!), and possibly even the RJX pipe. Price is not the concern as I building this thing to be toatally decked out!!! (My hanger quenn) just joking, it will be flown.

I don't have direct experience with that engine, but from what I've heard and read the MP5 is a solid choice.

Thanks, I already like that pipe on the OS Hyper 50, good power, quiet, easy to tune!

I've heard good things about the MP and was going to buy a Hatori 523 for mine. Instead I went with the Align. I don't think you'll get the power out of the Align that you will with the MP.

I'd like to know how the Hatori matches up.

I put a Hatori on my OS37 Hawk Pro and it made a HUGE DIFFERENCE!! But there arent too may options for the 37 engine out there. The 50 size market has alot of options so I am trying to get some insight from those who have a TT53.

Check this out.
MHW(James Wang)wrote that TT had Hatori to make a spacial pipe only for TT53(Hat 523).After testing this combo, the author wrote that TT53(with 523)is the strongest engine for 50 size helis. Why don't you give it a try.

Hey there

Go with the MP-5 it has been tested by TT pilot Dino Spadacini. This pipe makes alot of back pressure and you will find consistant runs from full tank to end of tank. I run this set up on 1 of my 600's and gotta say This is a rockin motor !!!

Another vote for the MP5, very consistent throughout tank and makes a ton of power - very pleased. The MP5 will require a leaner main needle setting due to the higher back pressure, so you may need to richen up the low a bit to compensate in the mid-range.

IF u have the RJX heli, Y not go the pipe? I've got one on a non hyper OS50 and it screams! Well worth the (cheaper) price.

I'm using an old-school MP2 with the TT 53 with great results!

Has the TT Redline more than a OS Hyper or YS 50?

Is the Mp5 a direct bolt on for the Raptor Titan?

trevstaff yes it is a direct bolt on

I am using the MP5 on my TT53 and it is rocking. I am running around 2300 on the head with 8.5 ratio and the engine is loving it.

I'm very pleased with the Hatori SAB50 pipe. It is noticeably more quiet than the Align pipe, and the power is very evident. A friend of mine strongly recommended the Hatori, and I've not regretted a moment of it.

How much flying time do you guys get on your TT53´s? I only get 8 minutes on 10% Wildcat and mild flying around.

I tend to push it pretty hard with 3D and end up with 7 minutes on Cool Power 30%.

Hatori 523 for me. I was running the MP5 but I was able to run a little leaner and have just as much power with the Hatori. Since its hatori it is meant for a little bit lower head speed, 2050 in my case. Runs like a r@ped Ape!!! 10 minutes on Cy30%.
