yeah, I'd say it's different. We helped the Taliban directly with aid and weapons, we didn't send suicide bombers into Russia to kill innocent civilians.

Iran's intentions are to destabilize the entire mid-east region. For you to not think that it is a big deal and should be stopped makes you no better than those people.

You said aiding Taliban was different and the difference was that you were not sending suicide bombers. That kinda implies Iran is, so I wonder where they are being sent?? I guess you have realized by now that unless you can show me that they are and where, then actually you admit your aid to Taliban wasn't much different...is that why you won't answer???

You see there is a major difference. You used to finanze the Taliban who did the bad stuff. Iranians might very well be finanzing the bad guys too, but I have a hard time believing they are organizing it...

Our intentions with the Taliban were to stop the spread of Communism.

So basicly it's ok to fund terrorists as long as they attack your "enemies" and not you, strange attitude. I wonder of Mr Putin would agree with you on that one. Well at least it explains some of your actions around the world....

In my eyes funding terrorists is funding terrorists, period...you were ofcourse trying to stabilize the region when you funded Taliban, yes ofcourse, that's it....

As for history I do have the impression I have that closer than many. Took a stroll in the woods today. On my way there I passed the prison where the Nazis held and tortured Norwegian resistancefighters during WWII. I also passed the place where they got executed. I tell ya, ain't nothing glorious about those places....on a shelf I have 2 German 100-something shells from WWII that I picked off a German cargo freighter carrying supplies for the east front. Vessel was sunk by Norwegian resistance in 42. When I lived in France I used to surf off a beach where the German blokhouses still stand. I've been to Omaha and Utah beach and I've paid my respects at your war cemetary in Normandie. I have parents that experienced the Germans first hand and my best friends father was in the resistance (my parents were slightly to young). I was brought up learning war is a terrible waste of lifes and certainly far from glorious, by people that actually experienced it up front at their own door step, not on another continent. So I'm not sure if I'm the one that need a history lesson.
