| Yes, but at the same time, if you consider yourself better than others and "constantly" seek an enemies, there are enough loonies out to always take you up on the fight.
The most important thing with the Bush and almost every other republican regime is that they really do "seem" to believe the theory that you start a war, and money flows. Unfortunately, with the global enconomy this is no longer the case. And as we see now in our "mini vietnam" it has done nothing but aid in brigning our country to a shimmer and whimper. Instead of shipping the billions over there, they could have invested 1/10th in our country and everyone could have flourished and probably not been in the situation were are. But that is as usual too much like right, and now, we are in a recession.
And even more importantly 8 years ago, idiots were obsessed with someone having oral sex and deeming this important enough to run our nation into the ground by selecting the dork that we have in office now. Don't get me wrong, he is certainly entertaining(has been since day one with what he says and how people fall for it), but then again, a monkey in the zoo is entertaining, but I don't want them for president.
I was one of the people that when they came up with the WMD crap that, in all honesty, I cried. I also was greatly upset when the senators agreed to give our president in his "wisdom" the power they did. Now it is easy for us to sit and speculate "enemies popping from out of holes in the walls",war and blah blah, but people are "dead!" over this. Not fighting for freedom because in all honesty, USA still needs to get its own freedoms together 100% before they start that "freedom" crap anywhere else and also those people are no more free and stable than they were the day troops set foot on the sand. Yes, things are better but in a sense they are not on a much larger scale.
Besides, good lord, Bush lied or he is incompetent in that he assigned a cabinet that then assigned individuals that produced incorrect information! Whether it was his cabinet, him personally or his VP, he is the leader and his responsibility! The information was wrong(or was just an outright lie)! Support the troops yes, but at the same time, give them the ultimate support and get them out of harms way(or oh... lets think for a second proactively... lets try to not bully or be warmongers and maybe, maybe... we would not have to get our troops out of harms way in the first place). Then again, this has become such a mess that this cannot be done either. All at the hands of our "ultimate protecting" right wing based government that is entangled in all sorts of "illicit activities" involving corruption..
It is the 21st century and it amazes me that people still believe the government "at face value" but then again, it is easier to "not see" than to see in some circumstances.
I only hope for "all americans" that they get the repubs out of the oval so we can get back to a little stability economically, possibly get our troops out of there "eventually" (as most that are in support of this war don't wish to acknowledge, that area and the terrorists, finatics, etc live to die! They don't care who or how many people they take with them. So in all honesty, this is simply like throwing nitro on a flame..)
The most important thing at this moment however is the economy and improving it...
