Looks like the shaft steps down in diameter where it goes into the top bearing block. I can assume that does away with any lock or split collars with just the main gear bolt holding everything in place...nice way to reduce parts count..like it alot. Now if only they got the tolerances correct with regard to the main shaft and main bearings unlike the 600.

I found this on modelhelicopters.co.uk:
"The picture below shows no collar atop the upper bearing, but that's because it is now placed underneath the bearing, with another on top of the lower bearing. Result: more swashplate movement."

Btw, looks like they need to make longer rear canopy posts . |
