Align T-REX 600N 700N > T-REX 700N 700N at 3DX 2008 in Utrera, Spain

Hi guys

Well I just came back from Utrera where this weekend was hold the spanish 3DX championship. I had a good time there (thx to Forrestgump and other folks from here ). Anyway, as promised, I got a few shots of the 700N which was brought and flown by Lukas Riva during the weekend.

Before somebody comments about the "double" feed and clunk in the 700N's tank (as you can see in the pics) I would like to clear this up right away. I spoke with Lukas about this and it seems that align is testing different postions for the clunk line. They realised that the feed on the side (like on the 600N) doesn't work very well in some situations (low on fuel, banked to the left) so it seems that the final design is going to be with the feed at the center of the tank.

Enjoy

very nice pics....man I just bought the new tank for my 600. I assume that the new design will eventually make it to the 600.

Wow I love it !! nice to see they have a carbon front rod for the tail , because of the 600 problems.

I didn't asked about that, sorry. Having seen the 700n in person makes the decision crystal clear as the tank is frankly HUGHE so I'm sure the clunk doesn't reach the other side. On the 600N this happens somehow on a smaller scale so probably isn't that critical.

What problems?? 250 flights plus now and still only a broken tail boom support on flight 3........... Align Quality speaks louder than most other manufacturers.

Quotes may have been changed for my own amusement

Olives trees

That is the property right next to our flying field. It looks closer in the photos than it really is.

Thats the disadvantage of using zoom lens. The depth of field gets screwed up. Anyway, I wouldn't dare to get any closer. Those guys pratically fly with the rotordiscs in their face

Naa. I have over 300 pics from that day. I only posted the 700N pics because people wanted to see them. I also have some extreme 90 pics, odin 90 I think (not 100%, have to check the database) and alot of other birds. Sadly the Aurora wasn't represented at all (not even the Iberian Importer who has at least one display unit didn't show up). I'm certainly not moving into the 90 sized market that soon. The quality of the flying I saw made me realise that here in Portugal we are just playing around compared to those guys. I'm not refering to the maneuvers itself, its how low and close they are performed.

Oh well. Maybe next year I'll try to compete (yeah sure lol).

I think that Utrera is going to cost me alot. Today I was flying way too low for my taste which obviously is a clear influence from what I saw last weekend lol.

Send that form right away

What problems??

Mine wobbles and vibrates affecting the tail.

I had to create a bracket to support it somewhat...

Good looking chooper, nice looking head. To bad they decided to go with the 600 landing skids...would have liked to see a wider stance. Tey look like little chicken legs

nothing special. Its a canon 400D with a sigma 18-200 3.5-6.3F DC Lens (without image stabilization!).

I just ordered another sigma with the same specs but with optical stabilization so my next pics should hopefully come out sharper
