A couple guys have reported drawing 9-10A draw on a hardd 3D flights with a 2s lipo direct(4 8717s and 8900G). The servos will draw 2A under high loads...but not while putting around.

Thanks Jason.

It would be interesting to see a copy of the flight data on that one.

Surely that can't be continuous.

The 601/611 works well - flew with these for a long time.

Spartan ds760 works better - delivers more consistent pirouette rates than the 601/611's did, especially under changing rotor disk loads.

I can't imagine a 10A draw. With the swashplate fully jammed and 3 x 9351 servos the draw is around 7.23Amp. In flight and no matter how bad I wiggle the sticks I can't get over 4.5A. Maybe the occasional 5amp peak but thats about it.

Joker: Not sure if you're refering to me but those values are very similar regardless of regulator. I've used the Arizona Reg, Duralite and smart fly. Currently I'm using the Smart fly as it provides constant 6.57V, double feed like the Arizona and 16g wire to the lipo. All this at mere 30gr (The arizona weights 54gr and Duralite's design doesn't appeal to me even after modding it to 6.2V)
