I am hanging out at my parents this weekend and they have a nice big beautiful house and lots of open space. So I decided to hover a few packs. During my second pack I decided to take a little video of the heli and that is when I decided to redo the 1st hover challenge from Burly. So here it is. As a note I never touched the throttle after I got it stable, all the rising and falling was form the buffeting due to the small area.

Oh and I plan to have mfcrash try this next week so we can get a baseline that we can look back and compare to later.

And for comparison ... here is my original entry

And that's why you are the hover King! Nice progression. Great idea to have mfcrash do a baseline video. Its good to document the progress otherwise you can take it for granted.

Sorry, Fender. I thought TJ won in the "Novice" class. But he's not a novice anymore

You might be right Gregors, TJ won the Novice class. I myself would have been the "take off and landing" champ thinking I was going to be the only entry, only to have TJ come and take the win. The judges were bias against me anyway cause I roasted their NUTS

Excellent progression TJ. Hopefully I have only one more month of my busy season and then I can get home to get some vids posted with you too.

What up Triple B I should have brought a square foot with me and placed it on the ground (with rocks to weigh down the foam )and try an inverted hover over the square I think I will try it next time. Here's an extreme inverted close -up. Marcus helius could have lost an eye

You just make that look easy there Doug!

Speaking of hover tests and such, today was the big day for mfcrash. He is on about his 50th battery and so I taped off a somewhat close approximation to a one foot box on the floor of the gym for him to to try his skills at. I am sorry to say his head was just not in it this morning as he continually was drawn to his cell phone, or more specifically the girl on the other end of it. As such we did 3 takes and by the third he was getting back to normal again

That's some damn fine flying if you ask me! Of course I think it is time to try a pack without that TG hanging there, but that is just me.

A rather UGLY attempt at Triple B's hover over a one foot square challenge inverted in somewhat breezy conditions- more practice required

I plan on doing a nose-in video next week. I know it won't hold a candle to doing it inverted but it is big for me
