I bought a Jr 7703D and I started with the suggestion of the manual but the tail drift a lot. I was using the 611 and the heli was ok? Does the synergies brother have a suggestion to me?

Have you flown it in rate mode and got the drift out of it mechanically with this gyro it is essential that you do this and get it right or it will always drift

There is no need to adjust the linkage to remove drift in rate mode.

If you do this will not get full & equal travel of the tail pitch slider. Mechanical setup is critical for maximum tail strength of your current setup.

You are only required to remove drift in rate mode if you intend to fly only in rate mode.

One of the features of this gyro is that it is equipped with an auto trim function & it's purpose is to allow a smooth transition from the Normal Mode to Heading Hold mode.

If you have initialised the gyro correctly & still have drift in Heading Hold mode, then I would be looking elsewhere for the cause of your drift problems.

I have seen drift problems with the G770 gyro caused by too low a gain value, airframe vibrations & also caused by the gyro tape itself, just to name a few.

Over here in Australia, there have also been a few reports of drift caused by faulty gyros.

I am sorry to disagree with you but any gyro can benefit from a good mechanical set up in rate mode i had just helped a guy with a drift problem on this gyro and doing the mechanical set up in rate mode cured his problem good electronics can not overcome a mediocre mechanical set up and why not try to optimize all parts of the system i am sorry to take your post off subject fernando
And all of hirobofreaks suggestions are good advice it is a process of elimination

That's correct.

& the best mechanical setup is FULL THROW of the tail pitch slider! Or don't you agree?

The "good electronics" can hold the tail rock solid in aggressive backwards flight so I'm sure it can deal with a little drift in the hover!

Do some more research bud.

Do post your results Fernando

Well, the gyro was in the front of the heli and I put it on the back plate.
About vibrations I checked the runout of the hyperhub and it was with 0,01 mm and the clutch was with 0,04mm and it is less than Synergy recommend.i checked the TT and the runout was good. The fuel wasn't shaking.I checked the motor mounts bolts.
I changed the gyro tape.
I did the mechanically setup on rate mode and then went back because did not change anything.
So all you suggested I did without a good result.
Next step will be change the gyro to another 770 3D that a friend is going to borrow me.

Sorry none of the suggestions had any effect i was making my suggestion based on an experience i had with one of these gyros last week on a buddy of mines Trex you may have gotten a bad one as hirobo freak suggested once you get it squared away they work great piro rates seem more consistent than a 611 good luck
