After 50 flights with heli in red and white colours i felt it was time to add more detail and repaint, here is just a couple of pics of my ecureuil repainted.

WOW, That looks really good Great job!

The red you refer too, was this the standard Red Thunder Tiger fuselage (like the one I have in my gallery)? If so, how much sanding did you need to do before you primed it? Did you use a kit for the rivet work? Also, your window look great. They are darker than the standard ones. Did you use window tint spray?

Just noticed, how did you do the rear air intake vent? That looks great!

thanks for replies.

The graphics i make myself using a mix of vinyl cut letters and waterslide for badges with photos of fullsize heli for referance.

The red and white is standard thunder tiger, I had to remove the original letters down to the gelcoat and then sand all the red and white with 180 grit sandpaper to give a good key for the primer.
Model was then primed grey and rivets applied using white PVA wood glue and a syringe with fine needle. I then painted a light coat of white primer and then 2 light coats of yellow. Graphics were then applied. No clearcoat is applied as model is Electric.
The windows are standard they just look darker because I painted all inside fuselage body matt-black.
The intake vent mirrors and new steps are made from Plastic sheet cut to shape.

Very nice!

I like what you did with the turbine intakes. It was something I wanted to fix on the one I built, but my timeline was too tight.

These TT ships can be really nice with a little extra effort!

Beautiful Heli! I also love how you did your intakes along with all the other detail you added. Is the waterslide method you used for your graphics commercially available? Thanks for sharing,
BrentC

That can't be good!
