Got your attention huh?

What’s up girls!! I’ve always thought that women R/C heli pilot were cool. I just thought I’d visit because I’ve never come across a female heli pilot. In short, I’m basically new to RR as a member but not to the hobby and I thought at first that I could see myself hanging out in this department. I say this because I’ve edited this topic several times and once again for the simple fact that I definitely feel out of place and you girls more and likely want me to get lost. For those of you reading this for the first time probably have no clue as to what I’m talking about. It’s probably better that way.. LoL. Anyway, the original topic was in regards to what kind of responses you gals receive on the flightline amongst other men heli pilots. I’m assuming it’s not very good because it seems like we are segregated. I don’t recall seeing any of you lingering to often anywhere else in RR. For what its worth, I have no problem with you gals. Hope this will change in the near future.

Thanks for prior and further inputs

Hello HeliWatcher.
Thanks! I was tinkering and figured out how to edit my original post because no one was replying so I figured I either said something wrong to offend you girls or your significant other is watching. Speaking of which, are you single?.. LoL. Just play’n. I love helis and a woman behind it makes it that much better. At the moment I haven’t had the balls to do any fancy flying yet so I’m not going to lie to you and pretend I’m all that. In fact, any one of you is more and likely a better pilot than I am right now. I’m just thinking though… wow.. how nice would that be to hook up with one of you girls to teach me in these regards. Realistically I don’t see that happening. But its ok to fantasize right? LoL. Awesome to here from you though. Again thanks.

HI,

I'm not sure where your from but up here in Alberta, Canada, we female pilots are multiplying. Last year at the ERCHA fun fly there was 3 of us Female pilots (flying at once). This Year at the Shag2008 funfly there was 4 female pilots registered and flying. I think the sport is growing for female pilots. It's becoming more of a family orientated sport. Most days I fly just as many flights as my husband. I find that once you have your own Chopper and you don't have to share or fight for flight time then you tend to push yourself more and get on the flight line more.

For all the up and coming or current female pilots out there, Set yourself a goal and go for it. once you reach it, set yourself another goal. But enjoy.
